Thank you, Bills Mafia!

In Case You Missed It:

The Buffalo Bills gained a herd of new supporters in the wake of Saturday’s AFC playoff victory for the way their fans rallied around injured Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Jackson left the game with a concussion in the second half of the 17-3 loss to the Bills. After the game, Buffalo fans on a Reddit message board began a push for donations to Jackson’s favorite charity — Blessings in a Backpack, a child-hunger organization based in Louisville, Ky. The 2016 Heisman Trophy winner starred at the University of Louisville.

The Reddit post went viral and Blessings in a Backpack has received over $524,000 in donations by more than 17,000 fans!

Updated February 3:

  • $524,250 donated

  • 17,406 fans

  • 131,062 hunger-free weekends!

Our Impact in Buffalo:

The money raised will help Blessings in a Backpack feed kids across the country, including in Buffalo and Western New York. That’s right, Bills Mafia… we’re bringing Blessings in a Backpack to the city of good neighbors!

Thank you, Bills Mafia, from Blessings in a Backpack CEO Erin Kerr!
